Tranquil Holiday Lodges in Scotland
Ben Wyvis Lodges
Ross Holiday Homes is a family run business and we enjoy holidays in the lodges ourselves. Over the years our children, parents and grandparents have enjoyed the peace around the lodges in Blackmuir Wood and had ‘adventures’ in the forest surroundings.
Our tranquil Forestry Commission setting enables you to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and have a traffic free holiday, should you so desire. Blackmuir Wood, which surrounds the lodges, is a walkers’ and bird watchers’ paradise. Young children have the perfect playground of trees and sticks a‐plenty on the doorstep and our dogs think it is their ideal holiday too!
The Holiday Lodges
The holiday lodges are Scandinavian style log cabins built amidst Forestry Commission woodland just outside Strathpeffer, close to many of the tourist attractions in the Highlands of Scotland.
Our season runs from March to October and bookings can be made for whole weeks or, in low season, short breaks.
Dogs and families are welcome. There are cots available if needed.
What to do at the Holiday Lodges
The holiday lodges are within easy reach of Inverness and many local scenic attractions. The lodges are close to the tourist spots of John O’Groats on the northern most edge of Scotland, Gairloch on the West Coast and Aviemore to the south are within day trip distances.
For those that want a more lively time then there are pubs and bars in Strathpeffer, and there is always the possibility of a trip to Inverness.
