Accessibility Information and Shortcuts
Ross Holiday Homes recognizes and values the provision of information on our web site that is in a format which is accessible to all, regardless of ability or disability.
Standards compliance
To ensure that this site remains accessible we have made this site using valid XHTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Our site contents is separate from the visual presentation, so allowing people who do not use visual browsers to access the same information.
JavaScript
There are some features on this site that make use of JavaScript to enable a more dynamic experience. These features are additional to the information presented via the normal markup. So if you have JavaScript turned off, or are using a browser that doesn't support this then you will not miss any of the content.
Because of the type of standards we use for writing our pages some features,
like opening links in a different window, are not available as part of this
standard.
If you have JavaScript turned on then we can use this to open links to external
websites in a new tab or window. Our normal links show with no background color,
however links to external sites will appear with a background
color.
As this is enabled by the javascript you may experience problems with pop-up
blockers for these links. However if you have pop-ups disabled then the link
will just open in the same window, so you don't need to adjust any settings to
view this site.
Accessibility on our site
We strive to ensure that all of our pages remain accessible to all users. However due to updating of the site, or due to new or updated methods of receiving web based contents our site may not always remain as accessible as we would like. If you have problems with any of the web pages then please contact our web development team so that they can fix the problems.
Text Sizing
If you find that the text on our site is the wrong size for you then you can adjust the text size. In each different browser this is done differently, here is a list of the main browsers and how to adjust the text size -
- Internet Explorer - Select the 'View' menu, select one of the options under 'Text Size'. The default setting is 'Medium'.
- Mozilla Firefox - Select the 'View' menu, then select 'Increase', 'Decrease' or 'Normal'.
- Opera - Select the 'View' menu, then adjust the 'Zoom' percentage option.
- Netscape - Select the 'View' menu, then one of the 'Text Zoom' options.
Access Keys
To assist with your access we have set up access keys for the main areas of the website. These access keys can be used on any page of our site.
- H - Home page.
- L - Lodges page.
- B - Booking page.
- C - Contact page.
- D - Directions page.
- A - Activities page.
- N - News page.
To use the access key on a PC you need to press the ALT key and the letter, on a MAC you press the CTRL key and the letter.
Please note all of our access keys are upper case to avoid confusion with other
keys already in use on the computer, so you need to press ALT or CTRL + SHIFT
+ access key all at the same time.
Printing pages
On the pages that you need to print off for your own records, or to post to
us for bookings, we use either Portable Document Format (PDF) or Flash (SWF)
formats. We have tried to give you the choice of either format so that you
may choose the type you are most happy with.
The PDF's need to be accessed with Adobe Acrobat Reader
4.0 or higher.
If you need to download the pdf reader this can be done free
of charge on the Adobe Website, use this button to get there
.
If you need to download Flash player this can be done free of
charge on the Macromedia Website, use this button to get there

If you are experiencing problems with accessing either type of file please check out the help provided by Macromedia or Adobe.
If you want to print off any of our other pages then we have used a different style sheet for printing. This will help to save you ink, as we have removed the navigation panel and some other parts of the page that you cant use on a printed page.
